I suspect that most would consider any person who has broken the law to be a criminal. A friend was once "convicted" of propelling a missile (a cigarette end accurately sent into the gutter!) for which he could have been sent to prison. Ah, is sending one to prison really rehabilitation?

I have known many people who have been convicted of something or other but I have known very few "criminals"! Of the latter group I have never encountered any "criminals" who have been rehabilitated by imprisonment, fines, community service etc, etc.

I suggest that only those who are considered to be a danger to others should be considered "criminal".

There are several topics that interest me - and in which I have particularly strong feelings. I am happy to mention some of these topics but will not (at this time, anyway) express my views. However, let it be known that my views on several subjects are usually considered to be controversial!!

Let us start with CRIME and PUNISHMENT! Any takers?
